BILL APTER CELEBRITY INTERVIEWS (NON-WRESTLING). ANTHONY NEWLEY--1969

Back in the sixties & seventies I did a radio show in New York City and beside interviewing wrestlers, I chatted with dozens of celebrities. In future editions you will hear me with Bill Cosby, Liberace, Muhammad Ali, Howard Cosell, and more. I hope you enjoy!

This first one is with a man named Anthony Newley. He was one of my show business idols (check him out on Wikipedia). He was a performer, composer (collaborating with other greats) of historic Broadway shows and songs. Some of the songs he wrote include "The Candy Man" (made famous by Sammy Davis Jr), "Talk To The Animals" (most of the score from the original Dr. Doolittle actually), "What Kind Of Fool Am I" (from Stop The World) and too many more to mention (check his Wikipedia page please)!
Again--please enjoy!--Bill Apter
